CPD Compliance
Continued Professional Development (CPD) is a program implemented by the South African Veterinary Council (SAVC) that encourages registered veterinary professionals to stay updated with the latest developments within their profession including changes in legislation, practice, and areas of specialisation, or to further their education within their specific field of interest.
- CPD is a process of lifelong learning whereby a Veterinary or Para-Veterinary Professional engages in activities that maintain abilities, skills and knowledge required for a professional practice.
- CPD ensures that services provided are in line with the latest technology and procedures and thus continuously improving the competency of professionals, and image of the profession.
- CPD activities include attending conferences, seminars and workshops or completing online courses and journal articles.
