SYSTEM EXAMINATION. Gross examination of the endocrine glands entails evaluation for hyperplasia, atrophy, neoplasia, cysts, haemorrhage, necrosis, pigmentation and possible amyloidosis. Much of the diagnostic pathology of the endocrine glands relies heavily on histopathology.
