Introduction

As we all move towards a greener and more ecologically friendly lifestyle, “eco-friendly” rodenticides become a more popular option to get rid of unwanted critters in our homes. Traditional anti-coagulant-based rodenticides are well known to cause significant mortality in non-target species, especially birds of prey, whereas cholecalciferol-based rodenticides are considered less environmentally persistent and pose a lower threat to wildlife – but not to our pets.
